Welcome Back

Welcome back from Greenwich Sports Academy, we hope you all had a fantastic summer holiday period where we have been spoiled with the Olympics and now Paralympics. We hope that you have all come back refreshed and ready to participate. Greenwich Sports Academy has been working tirelessly to ensure that this year, there will be more team, more sports, more activities and more fun for all.

Big congratulations to Crown Woods College and Plumstead Manor for winning the Key Stage 3 and 4 basketball leagues last year. We look forward to witnessing some of the friendly rivalries that have occurred. Everyone that attended a match would have enjoyed the passion and commitment that the students showed towards their teammates and the school.

The Greenwich Youth Games boys team led by Joel Moore achieved a great fete by winning 2 games in the group stages after losing their first game by only 4 points, they beat the eventual winners Haringey by 7 points, showing where hard work and dedication gets you.

The girls Youth Games team led by Rosemary Okocha also did well losing two close games and winning one. After the tournament, the girls have been training harder than ever to leave their mark on the Youth Games next year.

Greenwich Sports Academy would like to iterate its continued mission to look after all your specialist sport needs, we are here to assist in the development of the children and promote an active life within Greenwich Borough.
